Sustainable Ministry
Guard Your Margin
Mark 1:35
Mark says Jesus got up “very early in the morning.”
Then He went to a solitary place. Then He prayed.
This is important because Jesus was busy.
People needed Him. Crowds were waiting. Miracles were happening. And still, He chose solitude. He chose prayer. He chose margin.
If Jesus needed margin, you do too.
Many worship leaders secretly believe boundaries are selfish. But boundaries are not selfish. Boundaries are stewardship. They protect your ability to love your family, your team, and your church without resentment.
If you say yes to everything, you will eventually say no to someone you love, not because you want to, but because you are empty.
Jesus shows a different way.
He did not let urgent needs dictate His identity. He did not let crowds control His schedule. He withdrew to be with the Father, then returned to serve.
Guarding margin is not quitting. It is building a sustainable life with God.
Before you add another commitment, ask yourself.
Does this align with my calling, or is it feeding my fear.
Then choose the healthier path.
