Presence and Prayer

Spirit and Truth

John 4:23-24

Jesus says the Father is seeking worshipers.

That is a wild thought.

God is not only receiving worship. He is seeking people who will worship in spirit and truth.

Spirit and truth belong together.

Truth without the Spirit can become cold. Spirit without truth can become shallow.

But when the Spirit leads and truth anchors, worship becomes real. People are not just singing words. They are encountering God. They are being formed. They are being healed. They are being reminded of what is true.

Worship teams need both.

We need the Word shaping what we sing. We need the Spirit shaping how we lead. We need theology that holds weight. We need presence that carries love.

Before you lead this week, pray a simple prayer.

Father, make us worshipers. Holy Spirit, lead us. Jesus, be the center.

Then step into the room with truth in your mouth and dependence in your heart.
