Congregational Worship
Strengthen the Weak
Isaiah 35:3-4
Isaiah says, “Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees.”
That is worship leadership language.
Because worship is not only celebration. It is also support.
Some Sundays, people walk in with joy. Some Sundays, they walk in barely holding on.
If your worship leadership only works for the strong, it is not congregational worship. It is a concert for the confident.
Congregational worship makes room for the weak.
It gives people language when they do not have it. It gives them truth when their feelings are loud. It gives them a safe way to respond even if they cannot sing at full strength.
This is why song selection matters. This is why pacing matters. This is why the way you speak matters.
Lead in a way that strengthens the weak.
When you do, the room becomes a place of healing, not pressure.
