To trust in providence is to believe that nothing in your life has slipped through God's fingers. The accidents, the detours, the unexpected losses — none of them took Him by surprise. Songs about providence give a congregation the theological scaffolding to face uncertainty with peace, to say 'I don't understand this, but I trust the One who does.'
