Theme: Power

The power of God is not a theological abstraction but a lived reality available to every believer through the person of the Holy Spirit. Songs about God's power celebrate his authority over every created thing — disease, death, darkness, and despair — and declare that this same power dwells in the church. They are drawn from the mighty acts of Scripture: parting seas, raising the dead, silencing storms, breaking chains. Power songs give the congregation language for faith that expects real transformation, not just comfort. They challenge the domesticated version of Christianity that settles for good advice and challenge the church to believe that the God who acted then still acts now.
