Theme: Growth

Spiritual growth is not automatic — it requires both the sovereign work of the Spirit and the active cooperation of the believer. Songs about growth call the congregation into that cooperation: the posture of a branch connected to the vine, receiving life and bearing fruit as a natural consequence. These songs work particularly well in seasons of intentional discipleship emphasis, at the start of new ministry years, or any time the Spirit is calling the community to take the next step in maturity and mission. They tend to be forward-looking songs, full of expectation rather than regret, celebrating the fruit that results from faithfulness and calling people toward more of it. Growth songs are invitations, not demands.
