Theme: Enough

Though the fig tree does not blossom and there are no grapes on the vines, yet I will rejoice in the Lord. Songs of God's sufficiency celebrate the truth that He is enough — not enough when circumstances are favorable, but enough always and in all things, independent of what is or isn't happening around us. These songs are among the most countercultural in the worship repertoire, swimming upstream against a culture that defines enough by accumulation. They call the congregation to find in the presence and character of God a satisfaction that nothing else has ever been able to produce.
