Theme: Encouragement

Showing 11 songs

The New Testament is full of commands to encourage one another — to build each other up, to speak words of life and hope to the person sitting next to you who is quietly struggling. Songs of encouragement are the musical expression of this ministry, and they are often exactly what a congregation needs when the week has been relentlessly hard. These songs don't minimize difficulty — they hold it alongside a bigger truth: God is faithful, the story isn't over, the dawn is coming. I've used them strategically when I know the congregation is carrying collective weight, when there's been community tragedy, or at the end of a long liturgical season when people need to be built back up. Few things are more pastoral than a well-chosen song at the right moment.
