Theme: Desire

Desire is not the enemy of the spiritual life — misdirected desire is. The soul that has tasted God begins to want what God wants, to ache for what He aches for, to be drawn toward the things that draw Him. Songs about desire give language to the holy longings that every genuine worshiper carries — for more of God, for the fullness of His kingdom, for the world to be made right. They are songs of hunger, and they are addressed to the only One who can truly satisfy.
