Theme: Cleansing

The longing for cleanness is one of the oldest human impulses — to be rid of what defiles, to stand without guilt before the Holy One. Songs about cleansing speak to that deep spiritual need and point it toward the only source that can fully address it: the blood of Jesus, which cleanses from all sin. They are songs for the person who walked in carrying shame and needs to be reminded that there is a fountain filled with blood that makes the foulest clean. That is not poetry — it is promise.
