That single gesture redefines what spiritual maturity looks like — not expertise or sophistication, but openness, trust, and wonder. Songs about children in worship serve multiple functions: they welcome the literal children in the room, they call all of us toward childlike faith, and they remind us that the kingdom belongs to those who come with open hands. I've found that multigenerational worship — moments where three-year-olds and seventy-year-olds are singing the same song together — creates something profoundly beautiful.
