Theme: Building

Every local church is under construction — spiritually, relationally, practically. Songs about building celebrate God as the Master Builder and call the congregation into the labor of what He's constructing. The best building songs are rooted in Ephesians 2: God's household being built together into a holy temple, with Christ Himself as the cornerstone. I've used these songs at building dedications, at strategic ministry moments, and in seasons when the congregation is being expanded and needs to understand what it's building toward. They're also powerful for prayer teams whose often-invisible work is foundational to everything the congregation experiences. Building songs remind us that we are co-laborers with God in something that will endure.
