Theme: Angels

Scripture is full of angelic worship — and there's something about the picture of heaven's hosts crying 'Holy, Holy, Holy' that has always inspired the church's worship on earth. Songs about angels remind us that our Sunday gatherings are a participation in something cosmic, that the praise rising from our congregation joins a chorus that never stops. I've found these songs work particularly well at Christmas and Advent when the angelic host fills the narrative, but also in moments of high, exalted praise when the room needs to be reminded that worship isn't just a human activity — it's our participation in the eternal song that surrounds the throne of God right now.
