Theme: Access To God

The veil was torn. That single moment in history changed everything about how human beings relate to God — and yet it's easy to live as if the barrier is still there. Songs about access to God celebrate the audacious privilege we have: that we may approach the throne of grace with confidence, that we need no intermediary other than Christ, that the living God is not distant but near. I've found these songs especially powerful when people are carrying a sense of unworthiness or spiritual distance. They remind the congregation that the invitation to draw near is not contingent on how we feel but on what Jesus accomplished. The door is open. We are welcome.
