Theme: Acceptance

Showing 9 songs

One of the great wounds people carry into a worship gathering is the quiet fear that they are not fully accepted — by God, by the church, by the people in the row beside them. Songs about acceptance speak directly into that wound. They carry the gospel announcement that in Christ we are fully known and fully loved, not conditionally welcomed but permanently embraced. After twenty-five years of pastoral ministry, I can tell you that these songs do significant healing work simply by being sung together. When a room full of broken people declares in unison that they are accepted in the Beloved, something shifts — theologically and in the heart. These songs are especially powerful in contexts of shame, hurt, or prodigal return.
