Theme: Abiding

Jesus didn't say 'visit me occasionally' — He said abide. Remain. Stay connected. The whole architecture of John 15 is built on this one word, and it represents something the modern church desperately needs: a theology of staying put in God's presence rather than only rushing in and out of encounters. Songs about abiding are medicine for our distracted, hurried age. They invite congregations to slow down, exhale, and settle into the presence of the One who never leaves. These songs are particularly powerful in contemplative moments of a worship set — after high-energy praise, when the room has opened up and needs to be grounded in something deeper than feeling.
